What Can I Try Before Support Responds?

Yes! See below for some quick troubleshooting things that you can try.

If you are experiencing issue with Revit crashing or becoming unstable, please try the following:

  • Restart your computer, especially if software was recently updated.
  • Ensure that you have more than a few GBs of free hard disk space (this can prevent large models from opening)
  • If nothing works, ask AP3D to perform a clean install

If you are having difficulty opening a model or syncing:

Clear the CollaborationCache - Revit 2024 and later versions..

  1. Open Revit.
  2. Open the Revit Options.
  3. Change the Cloud model cache location. For example C:\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\Local\Autodesk\Revit_NewScreen of modified Cache location setting in Revit
  4. Close and reopen Revit (for the changes to take effect).

Clear PacCache: If the issue remains after clearing the CollaborationCache, clear the PacCache (Personal Accelerator).

  1. Create a folder called Cache on the Desktop.
  2. Within the Cache folder create a subfolder Pac.
  3. Move everything in the following folder except for the Logs folder and JSON file into the Pac folder:
C:\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\Local\Autodesk\Revit\PacCache
